- 1987-1992. PhD thesis "The Social and Historical Nature of Music Consciousness as a Type of Artistic Consciousness" (Faculty of Philosophy, Sofia University "Sv. Kliment Ohridski"). A state scholarship of excellency was granted from the Autonomous Institute of Culture "Ivan Vazov". The PhD was granted unanimously (1992).
