A. Scholarly journals
- Music and Arts in Action (MAiA)
A fresh peer reviewed journal on the sociology of the arts and music that takes a holistic approach in researching the dynamic role of music and the arts in social life and cultural experience. The journal is peer-reviewed, indexed in Sociological Abstracts and participates in the open access movement.
- Zitimata Epikinonias (Communication Issues)
A peer reviewed journal published since 2004 (in Greek) by the Faculty of Communication & Media Studies and the University Research Institute of Applied Communication (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). Addressed to academics, journalists, and political decision makers, it covers a wide range of fields in communication studies. The journal is published twice-yearly in collaboration with Kastaniotis Publications.
- Musicology (Musicología)
Review of Theory and Praxis of Music (in Greek). A peer reviewed journal founded in 1985 - before the Departments of Musical Studies to be established in the Greek Universities. A pioneer endeavour in the field of musicology in Greece.
- Scientific Journals International
An institution supporting the open access movement for scientific knowledge and publications. Website with information on the movement and an interesting collection of peer reviewed journals in several fields.

Research Network of the ESA. Website with information about its activities and orientation.
- Digital Radio Cultures
International Research Netowork created through the European Action COST A20 for scientific and research cooperation in the European Union.
- The Sociology of the Arts Group at Exeter University
The webpage of the Group at Exeter (SocArts) with information on the work of the group giving a special emphasis to the sociology of music.
- International Sociological Association (ISA)
A website with detailed information and material on sociology and sociologists worldwide.
- International Musicological Society (IMS)
Website with information on musicology and musicologists worldwide. It includes also information about the peer reviewed journal Acta Musicologica.
- Hellenic Sociological Association
Professional and academic association (it includes also social anthropologists), founded in 1983. Website with information on the academic activities of the association and also about its activities and initiatives related with the status of the profession in Greece.
