Call for papers
The 5th Conference on Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) will be held in Athens in October 2021. Two years after the last conference held in Thessaloniki, our invitation to scholars and policy decision-makers about the Cultural and Creative Industries is not only renewed but is also extended to actors and collectives involved in these sectors. They are invited to yet another meeting to record research on the CCIs in Greece, exchange views among all stakeholders, and create opportunities for new collaborations.
The main topic of the 2021 conference, is the developments concerning labor in the Cultural and Creative sectors.
Technology as a key factor in shaping the operating environment of the CCIs with obvious implications for creative and artistic labor was the main topic of the previous conference. Apart from that, however, the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic seem to be also accelerators and catalysts for the recent changes affecting most of the industries worldwide, in ways for which it is still unclear whether they will be transient or permanent.
