  1. "Labour precarity and social cohesion: The case of the cultural & creative industries" (2023). Proposal submitted under the call "Basic Research Financing Action (Horizontal support of all Sciences)", funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan "Greece 2.0" under the Action "Support of Basic and Applied Research", implemented by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (proposal no. 16313). Principal Investigator: Christina Karakioulafi (University of Crete). The proposal has been approved (Online Publication Number: 6Η3Ω46Μ77Γ-Χ8Ο). The project is in the process of being launched.

  2. "Cultural preferences and participation".
    A quantitative sample survey to trace and study cultural omnivorousness among students at the Aristotle University. The research was carried out during October 2021-October 2022 using an electronic questionnaire on a random sample of 1,739 individuals, and in the context of supervising an MA thesis.

  3. "Political stance and cultural preference".
    A quantitative sample survey on the student population of the AUTh to test the hypothesis that cultural preferences are linked to political stance and ideological orientation on issues of sexism and homophobia. The research was carried out during October 2020-September 2021 on a convenience sample of 673 individuals, and in the context of supervising an MA thesis.

  4. "Motivation and ideology of sustainable fashion consumers".
    A quantitative sample survey on sustainable fashion consumer motivations and views. The research was carried out during October 2020-December 2021 using an electronic questionnaire on a convenience sample of 119 individuals, and in the context of supervising an MA thesis.

  5. "Factors influencing online news preferences".
    A quantitative sample survey on the factors influencing preferences for news information over the internet. The research was carried out during October 2020-March 2021 using an electronic questionnaire on a convenience sample of 630 individuals, and in the context of supervising an MA thesis.

  6. "Working and living conditions of visual artists in Greece".
    A quantitative online survey using a self-completed questionnaire (answered during April-September 2016). The research was intiated and supported by the Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki, a department of the State Museum of Contemporary Art. The research was designed and conducted in collaboration with N. Tsiggilis, Assistant Professor at the School of Journalism & Mass Media Studies of the Aristotle University. This is the first research in the field conducted in Greece.

  7. "Influence of the organizational culture in cases of visual arts organizations".
    A multiple cases study combining the analysis of primary and secondary data. Data collection was based on semi-structured in-depth interviews, regulation analysis and analysis of economic data and published material on the selected cases (State Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Photography of Thessaloniki, and Thessaloniki Center of Contemporary Art). Thessaloniki, 2015-2016.

  8. "Cultural work in times of recession".
    A qualitative exploratory research on the changes in the cultural labor markets, the employment of the artists, and the nature of their work under the current economic recession (September-December 2013). The research was designed as part of a wider proposal for "Horizon 2020" and in collaboration among the Univerities of Poznan (Poland), Westminster (UK), Valencia (Spain), the Aristotle University, and the University of Macedonia, however it continued as an independent project. It was carried out in collaboration with G. Katsagelos, professor at the School of School of Visual and Applied Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, L. Labrianidis, professor in the Department of Economic Sciences, University of Macedonia, P. Pantazis, associate professor in the School of Film Studies, Faculty of Economic & Political Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and G. Agelopoulos, assistant professor at the Department of Balkan, Slavic & Oriental Studies, School of Economic & Regional Studies, University of Macedonia, and N. Dallas, PhD student at the School of Journalism & Mass Media Studies. The method of focus group interviews is employed for this research.

  9. "The International University Rankings in the Greek Press".
    A quantitative and qualitative research on the presentation of the international university rankings in the Greek press from January 2011 to September 2012. The research was carried out in collaboration with G. Aggelopoulos, assistant professor at the Dept. of Balkan Slavic & Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia and from April to September 2012. The methods of critical discourse analysis as well as measures for rhetoric devices and indicators for infotainment, impartiality and completeness were employed to analyze the presentation both qualitatively and quantitatively.
