  1. "Working and living conditions of visual artists in Greece".
    A quantitative online survey using a self-completed questionnaire (April-September 2016). The research was intiated and supported by the Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki, a department of the State Museum of Contemporary Art. Research designed and conduct in collaboration with N. Tsiggilis, Assistant Professor at the School of Journalism & Mass Communications of the Aristotle University. This is the first research in the field conducted in Greece.

  2. "Influence of the organizational culture in cases of visual arts organizations".
    A multiple cases study combining the analysis of primary and secondary data. Data collection was based on semi-structured in-depth interviews, regulation analysis and analysis of economic data and published material on the selected cases (State Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Photography of Thessaloniki, and Thessaloniki Center of Contemporary Art). Thessaloniki, 2015-2016.

  3. "Cultural work in times of recession".
    A qualitative exploratory research on the changes in the cultural labor markets, the employment of the artists, and the nature of their work under the current economic recession (September-December 2013). The research was designed as part of a wider proposal for "Horizon 2020" and in collaboration among the Univerities of Poznan (Poland), Westminster (UK), Valencia (Spain), the Aristotle University, and the University of Macedonia, however it continued as an independent project. It was carried out in collaboration with G. Katsagelos, professor at the School of School of Visual and Applied Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, L. Labrianidis, professor in the Department of Economic Sciences, University of Macedonia, P. Pantazis, associate professor in the School of Film Studies, Faculty of Economic & Political Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and G. Agelopoulos, assistant professor at the Department of Balkan, Slavic & Oriental Studies, School of Economic & Regional Studies, University of Macedonia, and N. Dallas, PhD student at the School of Journalism & Mass Communications. The method of focus group interviews is employed for this research.

  4. "The International University Rankings in the Greek Press".
    A quantitative and qualitative research on the presentation of the international university rankings in the Greek press from January 2011 to September 2012. The research was carried out in collaboration with G. Aggelopoulos, assistant professor at the Dept. of Balkan Slavic & Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia and from April to September 2012. The methods of critical discourse analysis as well as measures for rhetoric devices and indicators for infotainment, impartiality and completeness were employed to analyze the presentation both qualitatively and quantitatively.

  5. "The Greek professionals in acoustics".
    A quantitative research on the population of professionals in the field of acoustics. The research was carried out in collaboration with G. Kalliris, assistant professor at the School of Journalism & Mass Media Studies and M. Matsiola (Laboratory Staff at the School of Journalism & Mass Media Studies) and from March to October 2012, commissioned by the Hellenic Institute of Acoustics (HELINA). Participants in the HELINA 6th National conference Acoustics 2012 (October 8-10, 2012) served as the sampling frame. Aim of the survey was to study the social and professional profile of this population, as well as the satisfaction from various dimensions of the job and the profession.

  6. "Uses of Music among the Students in Alexandroupoli".
    Quantitative research on the factors influencing the different uses of music. The survey was designed and supervised in collaboration with A. Gardikiotis (assistant professor at the School of Journalism & Mass Media Studies of the AUTh) durimg 2010-2011 with a questionnaire distributed to a representative sample and in the context of a postgraduate dissertation.

  7. "A Study of the Greek Mass Media Websites".

  8. "Content diversity in the Greek local music radio".
    Exploratory research carried out during August - November 2008 on a convenience sample of 57 local music radio stations ("power-list" analysis) in 28 prefectures. Some of the results were presented at the 2nd European Communication Conference organized by ECREA (Barcelona, November 25-28, 2008).
